In contrast, pulverizers employ high-speed rotating hammers or blades to impact and crush materials, making them suitable for processing harder raw materials such as dried grains and spices. Although the power systems of these two machines are similar, their internal designs have been specifically optimized to suit the distinct characteristics of different materials.
In terms of application scenarios, sugar grinders are primarily used in bakeries, coffee shops, and other establishments that require specific sugar particle sizes. They can process regular granulated sugar into powdered sugar or fine granulated sugar, meeting the special needs of pastry decoration and beverage flavoring. On the other hand, pulverizers are more commonly found in kitchens and herbal medicine processing facilities, where they are used to grind whole peppercorns, star anise, and other spices or dried ingredients into powder form. The maintenance methods also show distinct differences. After using the sugar grinder, residual sugar should be cleaned up promptly to prevent clumping that could affect its next use. On the other hand, if you need to handle a variety of dried ingredients, a grinder will offer greater versatility. There are also combined devices available on the market that integrate both functions; however, in practical use, it’s often difficult for such devices to excel in either function independently. We recommend making your decision based on which function you’ll be using most frequently.
