Precautions for Storing Single-Crystal Sugar


If you notice that the surface of rock sugar has become watery (i.e., sticky), it’s best not to eat it, as it’s inconvenient to handle at home and can easily breed bacteria.

 

  1. Since rock sugar tends to easily absorb moisture and become damp, it should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place.

  2. If you find that the rock sugar has become damp and is leaking water, you can dry it by using an electric fan or by exposing it to direct sunlight until it’s completely dry.
